Education
We care about education in Prague 3. The Department of Education supports schools established by the district and other educational institutions, cooperates with parents, schools and other entities in the development of education and develops a concept for educational development in the district.
There are more than 20 kindergartens and 12 primary schools in Prague 3. See which ones they are.

Organisation of the 2021—2022 school year
The school teaching period and the school holidays period are stipulated by Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on pre-school, primary, secondary, higher vocational and other education (School Act), as amended. Details on the organisation of the school year, types, length and dates of school holidays are regulated by Decree No. 16/2005 Coll., on the organisation of the school year, as amended.
Information on the organisation of the 2021/2022 school year is based on the above legislation.

Classes in the 2021/2022 school year will begin on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 in all primary schools, secondary schools, basic art schools and conservatories.

1st term: Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 – Monday, January 31st, 2022

2nd term: Monday, February 1st, 2022 – Thursday, June 30th, 2022
